The Pan Nociato was prepared in the past for the whole winter and each family had its own recipe. The oldest one was made with simply bread dough, enriched with walnuts and raisins macerated in sugar. These barely sweets bread were eaten for breakfast. Pan Nociato was born as a simple and not very sweet product that was prepared and stored by families for the winter. Over time the recipe has been enriched with eggs, butter, sugar, to become a real dessert, to be prepared for the holidays, especially for Christmas. On the occasion of Easter there is also the savory version of Pan Nociato with walnuts, cheese, pecorino cheese and pepper. Excellent for breakfast and at any time of the day, delicious to give as a gifts or to enjoy during holidays.
Rinascimento a Tavola is a brand of gourmet products, including sweet and savory biscuits, born from the passion of its creator, Daniela Storoni, for Renaissance culture. Located in Urbino, one of the cradles of the Italian Renaissance, on the hills of the Southern area of Montefeltro, this laboratory of excellence contains a synthesis of culinary excellence of the Italian Renaissance courts, through the use of specific techniques for the preparation and culinary and symbolic references. General Information: Cookies not need any special preparations but they should be served accordingly to the occasion, in the most appropriate and appealing tray. Being baked products free of preservatives, once opened it should be eaten within a few days to savour the characteristics of the product, or stored in an airtight box away from moisture. How to eat: The cookies can be pleasing protagonists of tasty snacks, breakfasts or tea breaks but can also be great as dessert; they should be served, according to the occasion, with tea, coffee, hot chocolate or sweet wines, in their simplest version or together with a teaspoon of jam, honey or fruit jelly.
