Recanati
Undoubtedly the city of poetry, as we could call the beautiful town of Recanati. It could not be otherwise since it was the birthplace of Giacomo Leopardi. It is a must-see destination for tourist, there are a lot of things to see and discover, we could start from Casa Leopardi, with an amazing library where Giacomo studied hard, the historical center and the beautiful stroll along the walls, to admire “the endless” and harmonious landscape, memorably described by the Poet from Recanati. But Recanati is also the birthplace of the famous singer Beniamino Gigli and there are many events linked with music and arts in general, and tourists are welcome all year long. On the top of that, Recanati is also famous for extra virgin olive oil, because of the beautiful hills that surround this area, it is a land of really special olives, a lot of varieties that are waiting to be discovered. Raggia, Leccino, Mignola, Coroncina ... there are so many monocultivar type from le Marche, and there is a place around these hills where all these olives are transformed into a very fine extra virgin olive oil, one the most popular in Italy and abroad: the extra virgin olive oil produced by Oleificio Gabrielloni.
