Montegiorgio

On top of a hill in the middle of the valley of the river Tenna is located Montegiorgio, a village of just over 7,000 inhabitants that has prehistoric origins and activities flourished during the Middle Ages. Originated around the year 1000 thanks to the monks Farfensi, the town gained economic prosperity and population growth thanks to the activities of these monks. From the top of the village, called the "Pincio" you can admire a splendid panorama, which spans from the Adriatic Sea to the Sibillini mountains, from Monte Conero to Gran Sasso. Montegiorgio is full of food and wine of delicacies, calzones stuffed with fried chickpeas or beans, the Cicerchiata and Scroccafuse (variant of the classic pancakes), served with real waterfalls of honey. And 'thanks to its surroundings, where nature is at its best in the blooming season, enthusiastic beekeepers produce quality honey, and it is here that Tasting Marche has found one of its exceptional suppliers, Apicoltura Nomade, which every year gives us all the goodness of the products of the hive.
