Macerata Feltria

Macerata Feltria

Between the beautiful hills of the Valley of the Foglia River on one side, and of the Conca River on the other side, there is the small town of Macerata Feltria. The city's origins have to be found in the ancient Roman town of Pitinum Pisaurense, of which many remains have remained, it was destroyed by the Goths around 552. On its ashes arose in the Middle Ages the new settlement, in the form of  a "castle", on the nearest hill.  Do not miss a tour at the 'Pitinum Thermae', a city bath that are used for the therapeutic properties of the sulphurous waters of the area.
There are many initiatives that animate the town, the summer parties, a lot of events in the autumn, for this reason, in any season the town of Macerata Feltria offers unforgettable emotions with its beautiful landscape surrounding. Not only that, Tasting Marche came over here to make you discover the products of a company that produces a lot of real "treasures" food, in a structure that is both a farm and an agritourism: Borgo Cisterna. The native salted capers, the pumpkin jam, persimmons in oil are just some of the delights that we have found for you in this slice of heaven!
