A few kilometres from the beautiful Riviera del Conero, surrounded by beautiful hills, is located Agugliano. This village belonged to the historic Terra dei Castelli along with other common subject by the city of Ancona, who, thanks to their defensive fortifications prevented the enemy from attacking the Doric capital. Discover the beautiful churches in the city center and visit the village of Castel d'Emilio, between battlements and loopholes of the old fourteenth-century walls, is an opportunity not to be missed. If you come in summer you cannot miss two initiatives, dedicated to the pleasures of the palate. The first, in June, is the Festival of Artisan Ice Cream, born thanks to the long tradition of ice-cream makers of Agugliano: it hosts the finest artisans of Italy of the world of ice cream and now counts thousands of presence. The second, in July, however, is dedicated to the lovers of beer. "Agugliano at full speed" is a festival full of events and culinary specialties, in honor of the drink, expertly produced also by several craft breweries in the area. It is no coincidence if Tasting Marche has found right here one of his excellent suppliers, the Birrificio il Gomito, a manufacturer of craft beers of the highest quality.
