Belvedere Ostrense
Belvedere Ostrense is a small medieval town located in the province of Ancona and built around the twelfth century on the foundations of the ancient Castrum Belvideris, which owes its name to the striking dominance of the hill on which it stands, and from which it turns out the 'wide landscape between Misa and the Esino from the Adriatic coast to the Apennine chain. The most visible evidence of the medieval history of Belvedere Ostrense, is given by the installation of the old town and the castle walls that still surround the castle on three sides. Among the peculiarities of the territory of Belvedere ,there is the production of wines that attracts, in its many manifestations, many tourists from Italy and Europe. In fact, many traditional events take place in Belvedere Ostrense, for example, in July the Festival of Sangria, in which the wine is prepared with the famous recipe with fruit, in November the festival "Old Autumn flavours" where you can enjoy a delightful tour of the wineries of the countryside, opened for the occasion with opportunity to taste wines and local specialties. On the second Sunday of May, the feast of Our Lady of the Sun, characterized by traditional games of rural culture and gastronomic stands with typical dishes of the local traditions, and the Feast of the Patron Saint Peter the Apostle, in June.
