Isola del Piano
Behind the Cesana Mountain, between the valleys of the Metauro and Foglia rivers, rose up Isola del Piano, which owes its name to its geographical position between the two rivers. The village, housing 1000 inhabitants, dates back to the Middle Ages and its center acquired a significant importance during the struggle between Guelphs and Ghibellines. In addition to churches and palaces it is worth visiting the monastery of Montebello and its museum of rural culture. Due to the surrounding environment, Isola del Piano has long been considered an important place for the Italian organic production. Many events are dedicated to organic products, including the short film festival "Corto e Mangiato", "Momenti bio tipici" and "Nottebio", featuring organic producers from all over Italy and Europe. Tasting Marche wanted to bring to your table the best organic pasta and that's why has chosen the Cooperative Gino Girolomoni, to guarantee an absolute quality product.
