Sarnano
Sarnano is a small town nestled in the heart of the Sibillini mountains which became a free municipality during the thirteenth century. Amongst the important historical buildings like the church of Santa Maria di Piazza, Palazzo del Popolo, Palazzo della Podestà and the Palazzo dei Priori you can find small characteristic brick buildings. The Franciscan library, also a place of distinguishing beauty and prestige was handed down by the Philippine clergymen and is linked to the famous Saint of Assisi who for several years lived in Sarnano.
