From a careful selection of vinacce di Verdicchio comes the superb Grappa di Verdicchio Pignocco of Azienda Santa Barbara. A liquor at the same time powerful and harmonious, full of intensity and character, which goes very well as an accompaniment to sweet but strong flavours as well as to be savoured alone at the end of the meal.

The distillation is carried out starting from the combination of grape and vinacce and is performed immediately after racking, with copper stills with the water bath system, allowing to extract more harmonious and pleasing organoleptic elements. A long aging to get a young grappa, which expresses the freshness of the vinacce from which it derives.
Azienda Santa Barbara S.R.L. Barbara (AN). The company works primarily with two local grapes, Verdicchio and Montepulciano, combining them with international grapes such as Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah. Located on the rolling hills of Barbara in the Province of Ancona, this company has always focused on experimental research with the aim at bringing out the wine heritage of the Marche Region. 40 acres of clay, limy and gravel areas, placed on several fronts; these soils give the grapes structure, but as much freshness and aromatic finesse. In the vineyards most of the jobs are done by hand, looking for a balance between short pruning and targeted interventions on the green only when strictly necessary.
General Information: The distillates are excellent to enjoy after a meal as a digestif or with chocolate, dark or milk, to fruit cakes or biscuits, to bring out the flavours. How to use: Open the bottle and pour into liqueur glasses. Close the bottle and store in a dry place away from heat and light.
