Apricots are well suited to organic farming; like many other qualities of fruit, apricot likes the hilly and aired areas, with a soil rich in water and organic substances. These features can be found on the hills of Corridonia(MC), where climate is perfect for the growth of this tasteful fruit. There are several varieties of apricots, but the most common cultivars are Bora, Portici, Pink Cot and Aurora, and their seasonality embraces part of the spring and all the summer, providing a great quantity of beta-carotene and antioxidants. The high percentage of fruit contained in this jam guarantees the right assimilation of these nutrients.

The preserves can be used also to make baked desserts: pies, cookies and cakes.
