Belforte del Chienti
This beautiful village situated between the Adriatic Sea and Sibillini Mountains, which has less than 2,000 inhabitants, is today still rich in tradition and, wandering through its narrow streets one can still hear the echoes of the voices of the past. The most important local tradition of Belforte "The polenta in the Square", an event which dates back to 1978 and is held on the first of August; the Acquaticcio Festival is also typical, organized at the end of September, the Chestnut Festival, which falls on October 25 and the festivities reserved to the patron, Sant 'Eustachio. From the point of view of food and wine the area is also known for producing excellent sheep cheese, as can be seen from different dairy farms in the area, including the Dairy Di Pietrantonio selected by Tasting Marche for the high quality of its products.
