In the province of Ancona flavors of produtcs that grow between the sea and the hills intertwine. Start with an original  Pacasassi appetizer, savor a tasty Cicerchia soup and continues with traditional desserts: the Lonzino di fico made by dried figs, the Pralines filled with cherries wine (replaced in the period June-August with Visciolini biscuits), and Mielavanda.

An original tasting experience, the one we offer you, with products chosen in the province of Ancona. From the Conero Mountain we have selected Pacasassi, vegetable that grow only in this area and which are prepared in oil and than used as an appetizer, alongside boiled or roastad fish or to fill sandwiches or pizza. Also Mielavanda, a Lavander-flavored Acacia's honey is also typical of this area. From the hills moving inland, we have selected Cicerchia di Serra dè Conti and Lonzino di Fico, traditional products and Slow Food Presidium. Finally, from the chocolate valley in the same province we opted for some delicious chocolates filled with sour cherry wine (replaced in the period June-August with Visciolini, sour cherry biscuits).

Lonzino di Fico: Dried figs, almonds, walnuts, anise seeds, aniseed liqueur, wrapped in fig leaves. It may Contains traces of nuts shells. Pacasassi:Extra virgin olive oil, paccasassi (crithmum marittima) 42%, white wine, wine vinegar, salt. Nutritional values for 100 gr: Energy Kcal 559,1 e Kj 2339,4. Pralines filled with wine of cherries: cocoa paste, sugar, sour cherry wine 23% (wine, sour cherry, sugar), cocoa butter, sour cherry acquavite, alcohol, emulsifier: soy lecithin, vanilla extract. Allergens: soy and derivates. May contain traces of: milk and derivates, dried fruit and nuts, peanut, sesame, gluten. Cicerchia di Serra de Conti: Cicerchia Serra dei Conti Slow Food Praesidium. To be consumed after soaking and cooking. Nutritional values for 100 gr: Energy Kcal 314; Carbohydrates 52 g. Proteins 29,2 g. Dietary fiber 4,8 g. Fats 0,7 g.

Prepared for: Recommended for those who love to taste typical and delicious products from le Marche. How to eat: The Cicerchia can be used in a variety of soups, either alone, or together with other legumes, or combined with other cereals. Mielavanda is perfect to sweet hot beverages and delicious as garnish on yogurt, biscuits, but also on savoury products such as aged cheeses. Lonzino di Fico, cutted in slices, is delicious tasted au natural, anyway, for lovers of sweet and sour, with a slice of medium aged cheese. Pacasassi can be served directly with fishes, meats and cheeses. You can use them also to stuff pizza, sandwiches and savoury pies. The mix between dark chocolate and liqueur has always been successful, so the Pralines filled with cherry wine are delicious savoured alone at the end of the meal, to enhance its taste. 

Products chosen by Tasting Marche are unique and protected; Cicerchia and Lonzino di Fico are Slow Food Presidium from the Cooperative La Bona Usanza from Serra dei Conti (AN). The Pacasassi and Mielavanda are produced by Ambrosia from Sirolo (AN) while the Pralines filled with cherry wine are made by Mencarelli Cocoa Passion from Castelplanio (AN).
