Fisherman's biscuits, such as Cavallucci or Ciambelline al Vino, are among the biscuits inspired by the traditions of our region. The Marche region is very rich from a naturalistic point of view, given the variety of the landscape, and the gastronomic and culinary traditions are numerous and reflect the peculiarities and knowledge handed down by the populations of the sea, hills or mountains, depending on the specific location. The Fisherman's Biscuits, originating from the city of Fano, in the north of the Marche, are so called because they were the sweets that sailors used to bring on long sea voyages, and for this reason they were made with ingredients and processes capable of preserving their consistency and organoleptic characteristics even for a long time.
